I was on both sides of the audition room today. First off the routines felt great today! There was a contemporary, a hip hop, and a tap routine. I went for all of them...why not huh? I ended up getting cast in Rebecca Hymann's piece.
On the Choreographer side (I'm doing a contemporary piece about bullying) So many Talented Dancers, but here is my lovely cast.

Again, with technology not agreeing with me. I am glad I double checked because they had gotten my email wrong and I did in fact get a callback- for BOTH of the roles I was going out for: Holly and Linda. Very exciting. The Callback process was fairly simple and really laid back. For Linda we sang "Let me Come Home". I didn't know that one very well, but I tried making up for it with movement and character ( A little growl never hurt anyone ;) Then for Holly I was asked to sing "Saturday Night in the City" which I personally felt very good about. Today was a wonderful experience with some new theatre lovers. The Miami Players is a school funded club at SUNY New paltz that puts on shows directed, produced, and acted by the students (mainly those not majoring in theatre). They're show this semester is The Wedding Singer; where I went in for Holly and Linda.
