I auditioned for She Loves Me today, being produced at Rhinebeck Performing Arts Center. I performed "If I were a Bell" from Guys and Dolls for them. I did well, but unfortunately I'm unavailable for rehearsals the entire month of April due to my involvement in MIss Saigon. First Come, first Served I suppose.
I had the pleasure of taking an Int. Theatre Dance class with Joe Shade today at STEPS dance center in NYC.
Today was an amazing experience. I was not offered a musical theatre audition spot, but they said I could go into the acting only auditions. I, of course, accepted. My 2:00 of material included one of Mary's monologue's from Eric Overmyer's On the Verge and Ellen's from Sam Shepard's The Curse of The Starving Class. I met a lot of great people, and ran into a few new friends. Over all a great trip to M
Today I went to Pearl Studios to audition for The Community Performance Series' 2014 season up in Potsdam, NY. They had a tap cut (which I did not pass through) because one of their shows is Anything Goes So I understand completely. I need to up my tap game :) The audition went great though, and it was fun to do a legitimate NYC audition.
